BRAVE NEW TEST – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to the Brave New Test, a certification and assessment service provided by Brave New Tech ("Company," "we," "our," or "us").

By registering for, purchasing, participating in, or accessing any portion of the Brave New Test, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not purchase or participate in the assessment.

1. Purpose of the Brave New Test

The Brave New Test is an independent professional assessment designed to evaluate technology-related competencies, practical problem-solving abilities, communication skills, professional judgment, and other factors relevant to technology careers.

The Brave New Test is intended solely for informational, educational, and professional development purposes.

Participation in the assessment does not establish any employment relationship, educational accreditation, licensing status, or professional qualification recognized by any government authority.

2. No Guarantee of Certification

Payment of any assessment fee grants access to the evaluation process only.

Payment does not guarantee:

  • Certification

  • A passing score

  • A minimum score

  • Any specific result

  • Any archetype designation

  • Employment opportunities

  • Interviews

  • Promotions

  • Professional recognition

  • Financial benefits

All certification decisions remain solely at the discretion of Brave New Tech.

3. Assessment Components

The Brave New Test may include:

  • Technical assessments

  • Practical exercises

  • Written responses

  • Case studies

  • Live interviews

  • Recorded interviews

  • Communication evaluations

  • Problem-solving evaluations

  • Professional judgment evaluations

Brave New Tech reserves the right to modify, update, add, or remove assessment components at any time.

4. Subjective Evaluation

Certain portions of the assessment involve professional judgment and qualitative review.

Participants acknowledge that:

  • Not all evaluation criteria are purely objective.

  • Different candidates may receive different outcomes based on performance.

  • Evaluators may exercise reasonable professional discretion.

All scoring decisions are final except where otherwise stated.

5. Archetype Profiles

Candidates may receive an Archetype Profile as part of their results.

Archetype Profiles are intended solely as descriptive frameworks that summarize observed professional tendencies and working styles.

Archetype Profiles:

  • Are not personality tests.

  • Are not psychological evaluations.

  • Are not psychiatric assessments.

  • Are not medical evaluations.

  • Are not clinical diagnoses.

  • Are not cognitive assessments.

  • Are not scientific measurements of personality.

Archetype Profiles should not be interpreted as professional psychological advice, medical advice, or mental health evaluations.

6. No Medical or Psychological Services

The Brave New Test does not provide:

  • Medical advice

  • Psychological advice

  • Psychiatric services

  • Counseling

  • Therapy

  • Mental health services

  • Clinical assessments

Nothing contained within the assessment process should be interpreted as a medical, psychological, or psychiatric opinion.

7. Independent Certification

The Brave New Test is a private certification developed by Brave New Tech.

The certification is not:

  • A university degree

  • An academic diploma

  • A government-issued credential

  • A professional license

  • A regulated certification

  • An accredited educational qualification

Participation should not be interpreted as creating any educational or licensing relationship.

8. Fees and Payments

All fees are displayed before purchase.

Assessment fees compensate Brave New Tech for administering the evaluation process.

Unless otherwise required by law, all fees are non-refundable once the assessment process has begun.

Failure to achieve certification does not entitle a participant to a refund.

9. Retest Policy

Candidates who do not achieve certification may be eligible for one retest opportunity.

After a second unsuccessful attempt, the candidate must wait twelve (12) months before reapplying.

Brave New Tech reserves the right to modify retest policies at any time.

Retests may require payment of an additional fee.

10. Candidate Conduct

Participants agree to:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Participate honestly

  • Avoid cheating

  • Avoid impersonation

  • Avoid unauthorized assistance

  • Avoid recording protected assessment materials

  • Respect interviewers and evaluators

Any violation may result in immediate disqualification.

11. Fraud and Misrepresentation

Brave New Tech may immediately suspend or terminate participation if it reasonably believes a participant has:

  • Cheated

  • Misrepresented qualifications

  • Used unauthorized assistance

  • Submitted work that is not their own

  • Attempted to manipulate results

No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

12. Certification Revocation

Brave New Tech reserves the right to revoke, suspend, invalidate, or withdraw certifications at any time if evidence emerges of:

  • Fraud

  • Cheating

  • Misrepresentation

  • Identity fraud

  • Ethical misconduct

  • Conduct that compromises the integrity of the certification

Revoked certifications become immediately invalid.

13. Verification Codes

Verification codes are issued solely for verification purposes.

Brave New Tech retains ownership of all verification systems and codes.

Verification codes may be modified, suspended, or deactivated at any time.

14. Interview Recording Consent

By participating, candidates consent to the recording, storage, review, and analysis of assessment sessions.

Recordings may be used for:

  • Quality assurance

  • Security

  • Evaluator training

  • Certification review

  • Internal auditing

Brave New Tech is not obligated to provide copies of recordings.

15. Intellectual Property

All assessment content, questions, scoring methodologies, reports, frameworks, archetypes, trademarks, graphics, videos, written materials, and related content remain the exclusive property of Brave New Tech.

Participants may not:

  • Reproduce materials

  • Redistribute materials

  • Publish assessment questions

  • Create derivative works

  • Reverse engineer scoring methodologies

Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

16. Confidentiality of Assessment Materials

Participants agree not to disclose assessment content publicly.

Brave New Tech reserves the right to pursue remedies for unauthorized disclosure of confidential assessment materials.

17. No Employment Guarantee

Brave New Tech does not guarantee:

  • Employment

  • Interviews

  • Job offers

  • Freelance opportunities

  • Promotions

  • Salary increases

Employers retain sole discretion regarding hiring decisions.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brave New Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, reputational, professional, employment-related, or financial damages arising from participation in the Brave New Test.

Participation is undertaken entirely at the participant's own risk.

19. Maximum Liability

In all circumstances, Brave New Tech's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant for the specific assessment giving rise to the claim.

20. Appeals

Participants may submit an appeal within fourteen (14) days of receiving results.

Appeals are limited to procedural errors.

Disagreement with evaluator judgment, scoring methodology, or certification outcomes does not constitute grounds for appeal.

All appeal decisions are final.

21. Right to Refuse Service

Brave New Tech reserves the right to refuse service, deny certification, suspend participation, or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.

22. Privacy

Personal information collected during participation will be handled in accordance with the Brave New Tech Privacy Policy.

By participating, candidates consent to the collection and processing of information necessary for assessment administration.

23. Changes to These Terms

Brave New Tech reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the assessment following modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

24. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts within that jurisdiction.

25. Acceptance

By purchasing, registering for, or participating in the Brave New Test, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
